About
I always have trouble writing about myself, but hello, I'm Selena! I'm your average married creative with many hyperfixations to shout out to the world. In my free time, I love to play video games, read, and cook new recipes. I'm obsessed with one particular coffee; the iced blonde vanilla latte, how my husband makes it! I'm also a big fan of the Oxford comma. While my favorite Sanrio character is obviously Cinnamoroll, my second favorite is Masyumaro!
I'm a Virginia native and moved to California in 2021 to live with my boyfriend/future husband for a few years and enjoyed the new experiences I was exposed to, one being that I was able to fulfill my lifelong dream of undergoing Lasik surgery in 2022. We finally married in November 2023 in Virginia. Due to rising costs of housing (I'm of the opinion that buying homes among newer generations will become extinct) we moved back to my home city in 2025 and are currently in the process of making our permanent residence here.
The eventual evolution of dollheart first came about because I wanted an easier way to catalog and archive certain links. I'm particularly passionate about "peak era-Livejournal", which I personally consider to be the years of 2008-2012 when the userbase was booming with active communities and an explosive outpouring of creativity. Everything else is a bonus! I lament the permanent loss of hard work from these users due to the changes to Photobucket and closure of Tinypic. I've spent a good amount of hours taking screen captures of each broken layout image and even longer trying to find mood themes ♥ If such laboring has been useful for even one other person, then it's all been worth it.

Note: Please let me know who you are on Discord. I get a lot of annoying spam/bot messages due to the artist servers I'm in, so I easily glaze over unrelated messages. I will not respond to unaddressed friend requests.
